GfK: APAC major domestic appliances market continues to register positive growth

Rising consumer sophistication in Asia Pacific is contributing to the positive sales trends of the major domestic appliances sector in the region. From February 2016 to January 2017, a total of USD11.13 billion worth of air conditioners, washing machines and refrigerators were sold in 12 key markets in APAC, representing a 5 per cent growth as compared to the same period in 2015. 


Across Asia Pacific’s tracked markets of Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Australia and New Zealand; three countries namely Vietnam, Philippines and Taiwan exhibited the highest growth in sales of 18 per cent, 14 per cent and 5 percent respectively across all three key major domestic appliances segments.

Converse Unveils Forever Chuck a Film Celebration of Chuck Taylor

New content debuts diverse collective of people  brought together by Converse who are driving and redefining youth culture.

Today, Converse officially debuts the most pinnacle piece to the story of Chuck. It exudes a youthful energy and spirit for the next era of Chuck by bringing together a collective of bold individuals, all pushing their respective scenes forward. The people chosen share Converse’s brand values and span a range of genres, appeal and notoriety and are collaborators who will focus on communicating compelling stories.

Selfless selfies for Habitat for Humanity: Top Five Global Brand Vivo turns insta-hearts to insta-donations

After the first ever #VivoPerfectSelfieCup, top five premium global smartphone brand Vivo fulfilled its promise: donating all proceeds of the promo (a total of Php101,980) Habitat for Humanity Philippines, a non-profit housing organization tacking poverty by building and renovating homes for families in need.


Vivo brand director Annie Lim and Vivo brand executive Christian Jocson handed over the donation to Francis Hussein Mamasabulod, Habitat for Humanity Philippines partnership manager, and Rowena Kakilala, Habitat for Humanity Philippines individual giving manager last March 22 at the non-profit organization’s headquarters in Makati City.

Top five global brand Vivo forges an exciting partnership with Smart Communications
