Christmas Gift from Philips!

If there's one color that I love this 2013, it would be the color orange. I dunno what's with it, but I feel lucky and sexy with it. And luckily speaking, a few days before Christmas, one of the many Christmas surprises/gifts that I received is this Philips Sound Shooter!

A portable speaker that is equipped with maximum sound, Philips Sound Shooter is just perfect for travelers like me who keeps on going from one place to another. With its really cute and handy shape, this speaker is so easy to carry and keep inside one's bag.

It is so easy to use too, since it has a built-in rechargeable battery, charging this gadget can be done through direct connection to electricity or through your laptops. The good thing, its doesn't consume so much power, so it lasts for days.

Ayala Malls Made Shopping Worth Spending

In partnership with Look Magazine and Inquirer Lifestyle, Ayala Malls made shopaholics moment meaningful through Joy of Giving - a silent auction that not only encourage shoppers to spend their hard-earned money wisely but also inspire everyone by sharing the real meaning of this forthcoming Yuletide cheers.

With all proceeds going to Bulig Bisaya, an Ayala Land Corporation project, which will aid the families affected by the recent calamities in the Visayas, Joy of Giving invited everyone to join in this unique shopping experience wherein they might get to take home some of this season's fanciest pieces from their favorite local and international brands.

And last Friday, at Trinoma, I witnessed how shopaholics and fashionistas drool over these beautifully displayed clothes, apparels and accessories that speak nothing but glitz and glam. Though we know that this is not the perfect time to display one's extravagance, I personally think that if you do it this way, where you were still able to help our fellows in the Central Philippines, it's okay. Some things are very hard to control - like shopping! ^_^

Vic Sotto, Bimby Aquino and Ryza Mae Dizon on 'My Little Bossings'

You'll know Christmas is coming here in the Philippines when you hear Christmas carols playing on the radios as early as September. When there are Christmas lanterns being sold along the bustling streets of the city and all you see on the TV are the trailers of the movies vying for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

And this year, OctoArts Films, M-Zet Films, APT Entertainment and Kris Aquino Productions tie up to bring a movie that they consider the "time has come." Featuring two of the countries most sough-after child stars, the precocious Ryzza Mae Dizon and the decorous James “Bimby” Aquino Yap. Both charming and intelligent, but one street smart and the other “socially elite,” is what “My Little Bossings” will share to Filipino families this Holiday Season.

In a Blog Conference, which was held in Anabel's a few days ago, Ryzza Mae Dizon together with the Bossing Vic Sotto and movie writer Bibeth Orteza, bloggers experienced the natural wit that the child wonder has - convincing us why we should see this movie this season.

The Promise of Good Life Begins in a Good Family

If there’s one thing I can say about 2013, even before it really ends, 2013 for me is the Year of Moving On. The years 2011 and 2012 were so hard – not just for me, but also the whole family. Losing the head of the family at an untimely manner is something that any family wouldn’t wanna feel. But just like anybody else, we are helpless, we don’t have a choice, we have to let go…

It was diabetes and heart failure that took my father away from us, an illness that just didn't take him, but as well as his mother. It may be running in the family now after we got a confirmation that our mother has it too, so for us, I and my two siblings, we have to battle it out while we are still young.

For diabetes alone, in a study presented by Dr. Joey Miranda, who is the secretary of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology-Philippines, 2010 record shows that there are already 3.4 million Filipinos diagnosed as diabetic, representing a prevalence rate of 7.7 percent. He added that if the trend continues, by 2030 the frequency rate is projected to rise to 8.9 percent or 6.16 million cases – alarming, right?

Kenneth Cobonpue Launches First Light

"The lamps are a way for me to merge what I love to do with what I want to do for my fellow Filipinos," said Kenneth Cobonpue. "Especially in light of what has happened to the Philippines, I feel that this is the time for our countrymen to step up and become more engaged in helping other people."

Kenneth Cobonpue with his "First Light"

I had this rare chance a few days ago to be one of the first few people to see the latest piece of the world-renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue. With Habitat for Humanity Philippines Youth Council behind the project - basically to raise money to help our fellows in Central Philippines who were devastated by Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda, local name), "First Light" was launched.

In true holiday spirit, the Habitat Youth Council (HYC)'s Alex Eduque (Founder and Chairperson), Simon Tantoco (Co-President), Jasmin Tan Ho (Co-President), Steffi Del Rosario (Vice-President), Vito Puyat, Seth Hiranand and KC Keppler teammed up with multi-awarded furniture designer and manufacturer Cobonpue to create a limited edition centerpiece that will benefit underprivileged communities devastated by Typhoon Haiyan.

Miracle Art Manila, 4D Art Within Your Reach

Seeing pictures of my friends posing from one frame to another with these magnificent and marvelous art paintings, which are on-display at the 3rd floor of Lucky Chinatown Mall in Manila, simply convinced me to see it and experience it they way that they do. And finally, after months of rearranging my schedule, last week, together with some friends, I finally had my chance to pose with them and get the inspiration from these pieces collectively known as the Miracle Art Manila.

Open to public with corresponding fees (adult - Php300.00, student - Php200.00), Miracle Art Manila display a magnificent collection of 4D images with subjects images from aquatic world, animal world, Jurassic world, cinema world, fly world and even to mission world, which displays famous religion-related paintings in four-dimensional style.

First thing that I liked about this place is it allows visitors to bring their camera - camera phone, digital camera and even SLRs, they let it in for their patrons to appreciate the "miracle" that these paintings bring. The space is huge and it incredibly holds like almost a hundred of pieces classified into different categories.
