The Electrolux Wok-a-holic Kitchen Star Day 2
It's the graduation day! And as the Electrolux Wok-a-holic Kitchen Star Boot Camp ended with a bang, the 14 participants take the greater challenge of competing with one another on next week cook-off challenge. But before we head to that part, let me give you a recap on what concluded this exciting second day of boot camp at the Electrolux Wok-a-holic Kitchen Star.
Same as the first day, 14 Kitchen participants underwent the lectures and demonstration lessons of the three chef judges Chef Bruce Lim, Chef Rosebud Benitez and Chef Jonathan Bautista. But on this day, they learned different techniques on food preparation and stuff - something that will give life and elegance to their cooked dishes.
The day was highlighted with another team battle that determined who among them will receive the Lucky Star. Lucky Star will give any of the winning team's members an extra point that could help them be part of the finals. And on that day, my chef-partner Mariela Salcedo, got her Lucky Star after leading the winning team! Wee!
One thing that I really believe in order to succeed in life is to be team player, and from there, anyone can be a good leader.
That's what I saw on my chef-partner that day after leading 6 other participants to cook two dishes for this team battle. I believe that following orders is easier that asking someone to do something for you, so I was really impressed as to how Mariela handled her team and won the game.
And I just wanna share to all of you that one of the dishes that won them was Mariela's dish, so it was really impressive!
How I wish that things would go like this til the end. :-)
