HP promotes Reading and Writing with A+ Campaign

In its commitment of providing quality service all over the world, HP, the world's leading technology company, promotes a campaign that will help Filipino kids who are aspiring to have a clearer and brighter future when it comes to reading and writing. And together with the Department of Education and 2009 CNN Hero Efren Peñaflorida, HP launches A+ Campaign.

A+ Campaign aims to empower Filipino students to achieve academic excellence in school with the help of HP's latest and most innovative imaging and printing technologies.

We got to see and experience during the A+ Campaign launch at Trinoma Mall these latest innovations from HP, and I must say that these will be great tools in achieving the goal of this mind-opening advocacy.

With its Write and Read Program as its major component, A+ Campaign will be having story-writing programs that will inspire creativity in every Filipino student. We all know how the dynamic "kariton" project of Kuya Efren went, so HP and DepEd see that as a great way to champion literacy, especially in the far-flung areas of our country.

On the launching where a number of supporters showed enthusiasm, radio DJ Gelli Victor opened the program through a Glee-like presentation with what to expect from this campaign.

Efren Peñaflorida, Dr. Milagros Quiñones of DepEd-NCR and HP's General Manager for the Imaging and Printing Group Mr. Armando Pascual also announce the upcoming nationwide creative writing workshop that will feature interactive lectures and activities to hone the talents of our youth.

They also made an announcement for an exciting competition that will recognize Metro Manila's top 10 young writers who will join the ranks of young Filipino authors.

This competition will be open to all grade 4 to grade 7 pupils and high school students who loves sharing short stories through writing. From March 1 to May 30, 2012, this competition is set to to name few more young Filipino authors as winner from this contest will be published through a book compilation that will be prepared by HP.

It's time to show to the world how great and talented our youth. And with this HP's advocacy, A+ Campaign, I'm sure that the world will be more amaze as to how far and great Filipino talents can go

Thank you, HP Philippines for bringing such a moving act of kindness and generosity.
And to the future contestants and winners on the said competition, good luck and God bless!
