Probably, it has something to do with me love taking pictures of beautiful things and of beautiful people.

And last week, I got to be part of the unveiling of Manila's new center for the soon-to-be sought-after fashion professionals on this land.

But before that, let me share to you first these amazing photos that multi-awarded photographer Xander Angles took for the exhibit and launch, too, of Visualzine - an art and fashion magazine created for The Fashion Academy Manila.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear

In the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011, one of the highlights of this event that was watched and applauded by hundreds of spectator was the Men's Wear Show, which showcased the talents of young and professional 12 designers.

It was a mixture of taste, sense and style as hundreds of pieces took the spotlight on the runway giving color and life to the simple yet elegant men's clothing.

To be honest, for years of watching Philippine Fashion Week, this is the first time I got a chance to catch a men's wear show, and I honestly enjoyed watching and taking pictures of every piece.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Zxander Tan

And as to close the show of these 12 designers for this season's Men's Wear, Zxander Tan show off his unique side by showcasing quite interesting pieces. I noticed that every garment has this unique piece but at the same time still connected to the whole theme of his collection. I like the short pants that he made using a silk-like cloth,  partnering it with a coat that balances the whole image.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Ulysses King

Ulysses King brought the  vibrant retro feel with his latest collection for Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011. Red and range tamed down by the color black and with the models wearing wigs and retro eye glasses, King gave a one thumping show as his every garment strut their way up and down the runway.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Odelon Simpao

Black power filled the runway as the latest creations of Odelon Simpao took its turn of the this Men's Wear show of Philippine Fashion Week 2011. I personally don't like the color black for the world's most celebrated season - holiday - but I think with Simpao's  masculine modern touch and cut  on these garments, it made me realize that black is indeed has its mystical power, and I love it!

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Nico Agustin

Nico Agustin changed the scene as his collection started invading the runway. With a more casual look, Agustin shared a fresher look for Holiday 2011 by sporting a play on the colors, green, white, blue and orange.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Melchor Guinto

Melchor Guinto hyped up the crowd more with its version of classic look. I think by now, I know why most of the outfits on this Men's Wear show were formal, that's because holiday season is also a great season to get married. And so, this collection exemplified a a sleek and elegant look to men.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Jinggo Inoncillo

I thought at first this collection was too boring, only seeing the typical long sleeves with the basic colors white, black and gray. But when the last two piece came out with the shining red color, I suddenly felt that this collection gave nothing but the runway drama, and I really liked the last two pieces. ^_^

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Jesson Capuchino

Sharing a little modernized style, Jesson Capuchino showcased an elegant yet trendy look that vain men can hook up. From the cuts down to the kind of clothes, each piece on the collection gave an edgy appeal yet classic and sophisticated look. I personally like how he accessorized each look and how he throws the colors red, blue and silver  to give every garment to make it a stunning one.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Frederick Policarpio

Frederick Policarpio throws a different shade of color as his collection strut on the runway. With the earth colors and plaid - a New Yorker style - he surely hit the right spot for those Gossip Girl fashion fans. And I, myself, enjoyed as every piece took its turn on the runway.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Drei Soriano

With a little sexiness, Drie Soriano's collection for the Holiday 2011 also captured the tones black and gray, giving a more sleek style. Soriano also took some touches of blue and some leather-y feel to showcased the masculine figure of men in his latest collection.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Dodjie Batu

Setting a formal standard, this next collection that took the runway by storm was presented by Dodjie Batu who created a more serious appeal on men's wear. The typical suit's color black and gray made a stunning appeal from head to toe but also gave an impression of comfort and class.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Bang Pineda

As the drama continues at the Men's Wear show of Philippine Fashion Week, Bang Pineda's holiday collection showed how white and black looked good apart and how black and white looked great when combined. The camouflage pieces looked good that I think it will make a comeback again this coming season.

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday 2011 - Men's Wear - Anthony Nocom

White holiday cheers - I think that's what this collection wanna share to us, with the modern cut and combination of these pieces, Anthony Nocom's collection open the Men's Wear show with a perfect harmony.

Win a Samsung 2View Camera!

I remember the last time I was with my B1 Friends, Hermee brought his brand new and really amazing Samsung 2View Camera. That time, I came to our reunion with a DSLR camera. I know, comparing the specs and the outcome of the pictures, a DSLR still prevails but when it comes to being so handy and cool features, I must say that that Samsung 2View Camera has something to say.

Hermee let me check out the cool specs of his new toy, and here's what I got. This Samsung’s newest point-and-shoot innovation has dual LCD screen that can be found at the front side and back side of the camera. And because of this, you can easily preview self-portraits giving you a 100-percent fun experience because you will always be a part of your picture!

Maroon 5 in Manila - Presscon

The guys are back, and yep, they are back to rock our world and melt our hearts out together with their latest album Hands All Over. But before they took the center stage at SMX Convention Center, Maroon 5 gladly gave a courtesy appearance to the local media and to thank them for their support on this Manila leg of their world tour.

Thanks to our friends from MCA Music Inc, headed by Sir Wilson and Miss Grace and to my friends from Orange Magazine TV for tagging me along for me to feel the Maroon 5 fever here in Manila - up-close and personal. Wee!

As the room for the press conference packed with eager media people who are also fans of Maroon 5, I took a quick scan of  who's who are the people on this press conference, and here are the shots that I made.
