Nutrijuice Gives Back

Following the success of its first season, Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. together with the government of Quezon Province officially launched last week the start of the new season of Nutrijuice Program!

I was one of the few invited bloggers who went to Lucena City and became part of the 18th Anniversary of Quezon Province's Day Care Workers Convention, where the said launched happened. And together with hundreds of day care workers from the different parts of the province, we saw the love and care that Coca-cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. has for the children of this humble province.

The program was attended by different local officials headed by their governor, Governor David " Jay-Jay" C. Suarez who wholeheartedly thank Mr. Jose Bayani Baylon, Vice President of Coca-cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., for the company's generous help to nourish and strengthen their children.

Mr. Jose Bayani Baylon

According to Governor Suarez, if last season Coca-cola donated 8,000 packs of Nutrijuice to the Province of Quezon, which were given to public school pupils, this new season, Coca-cola will be giving 10,000 packs of Nutrijuice to the province's public schools pupils so that there'll be more kids who will feel the benefits of this vitamin-enriched drink. And then, come next season, Coca-cola Bottlers promised to expand it more, and ensure 15,000 packs of Nutrijuice to the province, a very remarkable deed that was rejoiced by all the witnesses.

For those who do not have an idea about Nutrijuice, Nutrijuice is a beverage  fortified with iron, zinc, lysine and Vitamins A and C. It is developed by Coca-Cola and the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-FNRI) to aid young kids in fighting against Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA).

Aside from the launch, the program also hosted the awarding of the Best School Implementer for the Nutrijuice Recycling Program. On this said contest, every school was asked to come up with a unique stuff from the spoiled packs of Nutrijuice.

And here are the winners! ^_^

I find some of recycled materials really nice and cute and beautiful! Good job!

Congratulations and thank you to Coca-coal Bottlers Philippines Inc. and to the officials of Quezon Province for this very successful project! May you be able to help more kids in the future!
