1 @ 11 - An Aficionado's Thank You Concert

Held last January 11 at SM Mall of Asia Concert Ground, with more than 70,000 people from the different parts of the country, the first concert for the year 2011 dubbed at 1 @ 11, an Aficionado - Joel Cruz's thank you concert, is no doubt something to beat this year.

Though the spot that I got was "kinda" really, really, really far, I, together with ht youngest sister, Andrea, and her boyfie Ryan, had a wonderful time watching and listening to the great music brought to us by our country's pride.

The show started as they lit up the very huge and extravagant stage.

I rarely see a stage like this, so I guess, this is another thing to beat about this concert.

Then as the show starts, UST Symphony Orchestra and UST Singers filled the air with their magical voice. Indeed, the choir of the world! I can't wait to see them again perform.

After that, some fashion show was held together with Aficionado's endorsers, like Pauleen Luna, Ejay Falcon, Ronnie Liang, Jason Abalos, Erich Gonzales and John Llyod Cruz.

Then from the number box that propped up the stage, the Aficionado owner, Joel Cruz appeared in his white Professor-Snape-ish costume. It was elegant, yes, but I found it a little OA.

After that little drama, the real show starts.

Gary Valenciano pumped up the night with his son Gab Valenciano. Gary Valenciano also rendered medleys that I really, really enjoyed.

Then, after some few solo numbers, the most awaited guest of the night made the spectators screamed from the top of their lungs as Charice sung 'Pyramid' with Mr. Pure Energy.

Gary Valenciano and Charice are the newest endorsers of Aficionado.

For sure, this is one concert that will mark this 2011. All the performers were really great. It was worth my time and effort, standing up all night just to witness everything.
