Canon turns Green with GreenNation Campaign

As every individual, institution and country takes lead in rehabilitating the lost beauty and wonders of our planet, Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc. recently launched their big leap in helping the green advocacy by coming up with GreenNation Campaign.

Unveiled at TGIF in Bonifacio High Street, this event was also led by Miss Earth-Philippines winners as part of their advocacy in creating one big green planet for everybody and for our future generation.

 Mr. Alan Chng

Canon’s GreenNation is an environmental project which focuses on the proper and safe disposal of PIXMA and Selphy ink cartridges and toners. This campaign wants to instill care and love for our environment.

And to start off this heart-warming advocacy, GreenNation unveiled their ink cartridge collection program.

This is a recycling bin where you can dispose your empty cartridges.

As some would think to reuse the said cartridges again using a non-Canon ink, GreenNation suggested disposing them via these recycling bins as to avoid any serious damages to your printers. This campaign favors the safe disposing of ink cartridges as it works better for PIXMA and Selphy.

The benefits that we can get from this first project, according to Canon, is although these cartridges contain no harmful chemicals, we can teach the younger generation the proper disposal of such stuff and the proper disposal of these used in cartridges can significantly reduces landfill to approximately 86%.

At the event, they also presented a video of how Canon reaffirms their commitment  to the environment which they call Action for Green. It was based on a simple Produce, Use and Recycle.

GreenNation will also deploy these recycling bins at Canon DZone Glorietta and Canon DZone Trinoma before the month ends.

Green is really in! So let take art in this wonderful project of Canon and start making a change for our country, for our future generation.

Thank you, Canon! Keep it up!
