An Inspiring Häagen-Dazs

Last Thursday I was invited to a Häagen-Dazs event at Robinson's Place in Manila.

I was quite excited to this event since this is the first time that I got an invite from their Marketing team.

It was the formal opening of their store at Robinson's Place, and their marketing team offered us something unique and very inspiring.

They have three big cubicles set at the center of the Robinson's Place Midtown wherein the cubicles where covered by black curtains.

And as the host shared the stories behind each curtain, the inspiring stories were revealed.

Story 1: Inspiration for talent. (This is perfect for bloggers like me, especially when the “writer’s block” moment comes in my way.)

Story 2: Inspiration for L-O-V-E. (When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!)

Story 3: Inspiration for career. (Work hard and kick some ass!)

It so nice that Häagen-Dazs finally have their branch in Robinsons’ Place in Manila. And since I usually visit of this mall where I and most of friends eat here, having this new addition to our “tambayan” made this mall more fun and great.

The night was made even better when Häagen-Dazs also revealed and shared to us their newest flavor, the Dark Chocolate Orange.

Dark Chocolate Orange

I was intrigued when I got my cup of ice cream and saw the flavor written on top it, chocolate with orange? I waited for my fellow blogger to taste it first, and when I saw their faces delighted by this intriguing flavor; I quickly opened my cup and have my first scoop of it.

I like it! The chocolate was so rich and very wonderful. And as I dig in, I got to taste the orange on the bottom it, which made this cup of ice cream exciting to eat. The sweetness of the chocolate ice cream was balanced with the citrus-y flavor of the orange. Really good, you should all try this!

They also introduced their Yuletide offering on this event.

The Chocolate Temptation, with pretzel sticks on top of two butter cookies, layered with scoops of Dark Chocolate Orange, Midnight Cookies and Cream, Belgian Chocolate, Cappuccino Truffle and Tiramisu, garnished with almond bits and cherries.

And the Chocolate Christmas Spire which consists of a scoop of Belgian Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Orange ice cream, served on top of a layer of Cookies and Cream ice cream and warm Brownie cake.

The event was also graced by the kind-hearted and very nice and cool, US Ambassador to the Philippines Hon. Kristie Kenny.

Philippines General Manager Ms. Tess Panganiban
and the rest of the Häagen-Dazs team

Now I know why the Filipino press loves her so much, she was really nice and very interactive to all who were there.

This event was so great and very inspiring, thanks to Häagen-Dazs!
